A pilot serves as a short episode providing insight into what the concept is about. After that, one must try to pitch it to different channels <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A common misconception is that projects picked up for a pilot will automatically appear on the screen, but a pilot is just a step toward a potential new series<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first step on this journey was to create a pilot, and then the 'TATOV\u00d8RENE' was born. For each meeting they had, they kept us updated on which channels they were going to present the project to, and they called us after each meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anxiously, we awaited the calls that could bring either cheers or disappointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many liked the concept and found it entertaining, but unfortunately, the reality was that most channels either lacked the budget to invest in the project, felt it didn't quite fit their target audience, or simply didn't find it interesting for their channel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It went slow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Time passed, and the belief that the series would find a home began to diminish. One day, during lunch, I noticed that I had two missed calls from ONEUPPER, the production company behind the pilot. Immediately, I felt that this could be important, so I reached out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u00e5l Aasdal, the voice on the other end of the phone. 'They want a full season \u2013 12 episodes. And they want the first episode ready in a short time. You just need to finish the renovation so we can start shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The moment was electric, and what had previously seemed like a concluded journey suddenly got new life. The message was clear \u2013 'TATOV\u00d8RENE' had been given the green light for a full season, and the first episode would roll out soon <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">SHOOTING THE TV SERIES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First and foremost, it was now a race against time to complete the renovation. Planning the filming of a reality series like 'TATOV\u00d8RENE' required thorough preparation, especially when the studio was already fully booked with clients. It became clear from the start that there would be some long evenings, as it wasn't easy to reschedule already arranged appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The filming of a reality series revealed aspects of production that are often overlooked. Certain situations had to be filmed multiple times, not necessarily on the same day. To ensure continuity, we had to take daily pictures of each other so that the clothes matched in the interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of what happened in the series provided an authentic glimpse into our daily lives, at least to some extent.
